Description
Two Victorian children playing with some snakes, to the horror of their nanny. The older boy has a snake wrapped around his neck while the toddler is holding another snake, probably planning to emulate his big brother. From “Sunday Reading for the Young”, published in 1895 by Wells Gardner, Darton & Co, London. With articles and poems by various authors and illustrations by various artists.
