During Christmas, there’s tons of ornaments and decoration to represent the festive of Jesus Christ’ birth. Whether it’s Christmas tree, presents, foods or even a wreath. This time we’ll be making an assortment of flowers, leaves, fruits, twigs, or even various materials that is constructed to form a ring which is a Christmas Wreath. It is commonly household ornaments during Christmas. It usually made of evergreens and it symbolize strength, as evergreens last even throughout the harshest winter. Therefore, if you want to depict Christmas Wreath, you can follow my instructions. Prepare a paper, a pencil, and an eraser. Now we’re ready to draw!
Steps:
Step 1: First of all, we’ll start by drawing the guidelines. The purpose of guidelines is to help you estimate the size of the wreath and to guide you in drawing the rest. Therefore, we need to start drawing a big circle at first with a smaller one inside of it. This will be the wreath guideline that helps us in order to make a wreath in perfect circles.
Step 2: Moving on to the next step. To make the evergreen that form a ring, you’ll need to create spiky lines around the outer and inner circles. Make the spikes pointing to below (see picture to better understand)
Step 3: Next, we’ll continue drawing the light bulb. Therefore, create several circles around the inner part of the ring.
Step 4: Moving on, we’ll be drawing several holly berries around the light bulbs. Therefore, we’ll draw smaller circles that consist of three berries.
Step 5: Now add several leaves around it that consist two leaves on the inner circle.
Step 6: We can start drawing the pine fruits by creating a tear-like shape but with spikes outside of it. Then, add three zig-zag lines inside of it (see picture to better understand). You can draw many pine fruits as you want around the inner circle.
Step 7: Then, we can start drawing the ribbon. Start by making two triangle-like shape with curvy edges with a smaller rectangle that also have curvy edges in between triangles.
Step 8: Next, draw the end of the ribbon by making two narrow rectangle below the previous step. Don’t forget to make the lower part of it to be shaped like a small triangle (see picture).
Step 9: Now we can finish it by erasing the guidelines and Voila! A Christmas Wreath is done!
When drawing a wreath, the most important part is to look at the reference. How’s the actual Christmas Wreath, the detail, each part, etc. This is important because to look for the features in Wreath. Therefore, it’s important especially drawing the guideline. You’ll need keen eyes and a lot of practice so you can make your drawing perfect. Good luck!
